If you haven’t seen or heard of Anthony Perez from TEAM ATRAIN on Instagram, you’re probably haven’t been following the right fitness accounts. This guy is a competitor, a beast, has a killer body and has it all figured out.
After coming from doing different methods to get in shape and up to some level achieving great success, I realized there was one thing I was still unable to achieve, gaining mass without gaining body fat. Last year after I tore my rotator cuff and I had to stay away from the gym for 3 months, which during time, I put on some undesired weight. Emotionally it affected me that I was injured and unable to do any exercises without being in pain. Read more
Calories (noun) – Tiny creatures that live in your closet and sew your clothes a little bit tighter every night.
There are probably more articles about calories and macronutrients than there are about any other trending topic online. I am sure the amount of information can be overwhelming and at times confusing, especially when most articles seem to contradict each other and everyone claim to be right while the rest are wrong. As mentioned before on my Jim Stoppani’s Six-Week Shortcut to Shred post, I created an account with MyFitnessPal (username: yass4fitness) with an open/public food diary so people following my progress or wanting to get ideas what my meal plan looks like during this program can look at it. Since the diary is open you have the option of adding me or just save the link to your favorites so you can access it at any time. Click here to see the diary. Read more
The name Jim Stoppani creates controversy in the BodyBuilding.com forums like no other. For some, the guy who hides behind a Ph.D. degree and knows nothing about fitness and nutrition, who only cares about selling his supplement brand. For others, he is a fitness expert who provides useful and scientific articles and workout routines that has help people change their lives. With such mixed opinions, then why Six-Week Shortcut to Shred? Read more
As I mentioned before, I suffer from Chronic ITBS or iliotibial band syndrome. This condition is very common among runners and cyclists. I had no idea what it was until I started researching what could cause pain on the external side of the knee when running. Although there are many articles online about possible solutions for this condition, I believe this article from the National Center for Biotechnology Information has been the most complete of all the ones I’ve read.
So for those who are not familiar with ITBS Read more
Want to know how did I change my body in just 90 days as shown in the picture below?
Well, here’s the secret which is not so much of a secret.
It wasn’t until I saw a picture of myself on 2005 that I realized how overweight I was. At that point my weight was 207 lbs. While I’m 5’11”, because I had little to no muscle mass, all the extra weight was mainly body fat accumulated around my torso area.
Not until 2008 I finally decided to give P90X a try after going online and looking for success stories from people. At that time, there weren’t too many BeachBody coaches, which made it easier for me to find legit reviews and stories without the constant impression I was being pushed to buy something and sign up to become a coach too. Hello and thank you for visiting my blog!
Last Friday night as I was going to bed I realized I only have one more week left before I finish my current workout plan. It got me thinking about what my next step would be. While I have been considering to try out some of the free plans available at BodyBuilding.com, it occurred to be that just like myself, there are many people out there hoping to find reviews on those programs, experiences, and results. In the past, I have looked up for some reviews, hoping to find someone who has taken the time to go over the program and show real results, but unfortunately I haven’t been convinced by what I have read.
While I’m not a professional in the fitness and nutrition field, I believe I have achieved a lot during the time I have been actively working out, whether it has been at home or at the gym. Because of that, my passion for fitness and honesty when it comes about what I believe it works or it doesn’t from my perspective, I’ve decided to create this blog and provide others with a better review as I experience each fitness program.
While I am aware each individual is different, regardless of their gender, ethnicity, age or health condition, and results will be different from person to person, I will never claim that my experiences are applicable to everybody the same way. My goal is to give you a basic idea and hopefully motivate you to either try the program or look for a different and better option for you.
I hope all of you get to enjoy my posts, like them, subscribe to my blog and share it with anyone you believe could benefit from it.
